Portfolio reporting for PE sponsors
Agentic portco aggregation with a CFO validation loop.
One view of every portfolio company. AI agents collect and compare the numbers, and each company's CFO validates them before your team relies on them.
Every scene opens with its words on screen, so it plays fine with the sound off.
The problem
The sponsor wants more analysis than a portfolio company's finance team has time to produce.
Portfolio companies are small, and their reporting is fragmented. Each one runs on its own systems, measures its business with its own KPIs, and finishes its statements with adjustments that never reach the ERP.
The CFO has limited time for analysis, and every request from the fund competes with the close. Giving the fund's analysts direct access to the data does not solve it: the analysts would drown in tables they do not know, and the CFO would be answering for numbers she never saw.
The result is a relationship that turns defensive. LedgerGlass is designed so the CFO contributes to the sponsor's picture instead of guarding against it.
How it works
Three steps from scattered reporting to answers you can use.
Connect each company
LedgerGlass reads each company's data where it already lives, with read-only access. CFOs keep closing the month the way they do today and upload the final statements.
Agents do the analysis
AI agents put every company's financials on one standard, track the KPIs that matter for each business, research new questions, and flag trends early.
The CFO validates
Every answer and every flag goes to the company's CFO first. They confirm it, add context, and release it to your team.
The product
Everything your team needs to see across the portfolio, in one place.
Ask
Ask across every company at once
Ask in plain English and get a comparable answer for the whole portfolio. When a measure does not apply to a business, LedgerGlass says so instead of forcing a comparison.

Validate
Every answer checked by the people who own the numbers
Agents draft the answer and show their work. The company's CFO reviews it, adds context, and releases it. Your team never sees a number the CFO has not seen first.

Monitor
Early warning, with the explanation attached
LedgerGlass watches every company's KPIs and flags unusual trends. The CFO adds context before the flag reaches you, so you get the issue and the reason together.

Report
Monthly results on one standard
Each month's closed financials and KPIs, reconciled and signed off by the CFO, presented the same way for every company.

FAQ
Common questions
How is this different from giving our analysts Claude?
Claude is excellent for one-off analysis, and LedgerGlass is built on it. What Claude alone does not provide is a CFO review before numbers reach the sponsor, a common standard across companies, memory from one question to the next, and a record of what was reported and when.
Does data leave the portfolio company?
No. LedgerGlass reads each company's data in its own environment with read-only access and does not keep a copy.
How much work is this for the CFO?
CFOs keep closing the month as they do today and upload the final statements. From there, their role is to review finished analysis and release it.
What if a company's data is not ready yet?
We set up the company's reporting data first as a separate, scoped project. LedgerGlass connects once it is in place.
How long does it take to add a company?
Each new company needs a read-only connection, its KPIs set up, and one working session with its CFO. Nothing is rebuilt.
Will it slow down the company's systems?
No. LedgerGlass reads summarized results, limits how often it reads, and logs every request.
